Growers with Global GAP certification

Good quality is always important in fruit and vegetables. After all, health and food safety are key. At EFP, that quality is one of our most important selection criteria. It starts with choosing the right suppliers. Wherever they are in the world, we check that they can meet our high standards. We require every supplier to be certified to Global GAP – the principal food safety certification. Every year we audit our suppliers to keep a close eye on their standards of work.

EFP is a member of Food Compass. We ensure our products are food safe by sampling them regularly.

Experienced fruit and vegetable inspectors

Inspections are an essential part of our internal quality system. Our inspectors have many years of experience and are trained in assessing a wide range of products. We carry out these audits regularly - regardless of whether the products are grown in the Netherlands or elsewhere. We also operate an in-house quality system based on BRC, another of the main food safety certifications.
